A standard AR-15 barrel measures 16 inches long and is threaded at the muzzle end for attachment of a flash hider or compensator. A standard AR-15 barrel can be chambered for any caliber, including.223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, 7.62x39mm, 6.8 SPC, 300 BLK, etc. The barrel itself is made of chrome-lined steel and features a rifling pattern that helps stabilize the bullet when fired. The barrel also contains a chamber cutout, which allows the shooter to see if the weapon is loaded or not. The barrel is attached to the receiver using a captive dust cover, which prevents debris from entering the chamber during firing.
The Barrels are made by Gorilla Machining, and are available in several different lengths, including 5.5", 7", 8.5", 10" and 16". All barrels are machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel, and finish in a nitride appearance. These barrels are chambered for 5.6x45mm NATO, and feature medium profile rifling.
