AR-15 5" .300 Blackout AR-15 Barrel – Compact Power for Suppressed and CQB Builds

This 5-inch .300 AAC Blackout barrel is built for compact, high-performance AR-15 builds, particularly those intended for suppressed or close-quarters use. It features a pistol-length gas system and a 0.750" gas block journal for reliable cycling with both supersonic and subsonic ammunition. The 1:7 twist rate stabilizes heavier grain bullets, especially in suppressed configurations. Crafted from either 4150 CMV or 416R stainless steel, the barrel is finished with either QPQ nitride or a parkerized coating to ensure durability and corrosion resistance. It comes threaded at 5/8x24, ready for standard .30 caliber muzzle devices or suppressors. The barrel includes an M4 feed ramp extension and is compatible with standard AR-15 upper receivers. With a medium or heavy profile for increased rigidity and heat resistance, this barrel typically weighs between 11 to 14 ounces. Whether you're building a PDW or a short, suppressed rifle, this barrel offers rugged, dependable performance in a compact package.

Note- MLOK and Keymod Handguards are compatible with this assembly. M Lok nuts will clear Handguard directly under the gas block.
Note- For Suppressed or Traditional muzzle devices use a 4.25? Handguard (Receiver to muzzle shoulder distance is 4.3?) or up to 5.0? Handguards if no suppressor to be used. ( Receiver to muzzle end is 4.95?)
Note- For Linear Comps use a 5.5? to 6? Handguard. Generally we use a HG 1/2? longer than the barrel.
Note- Usually H to H3 buffers are used. For PDW stocks we have used the Gorilla H2 ,H3 and Heavy types both seem to work the same.

Best backpack gun barrel

Barrel functions flawlessly with the right ammo. You can see the quality of the fit and finish. Gas port is sized for subsonic ammo. If you choose to run supersonic ammo you will need an adjustable gas block or light supersonic loads. Factory supersonic ammo may run very hot, requiring some heavy buffer weights, if you don't have an adjustable gas block.
