TEXAS ENTERPRISE AR | Low Profile Gas Block .936 (QPQ) | Made in USA
Our Steel Low Profile Gas Blocks will fit almost any hand guard design. Minimal-profile replacement for factory front sight/gas block won’t interfere with extended-length tactical forearms, while ensuring proper function of gas system for reliable cycling. Protrudes only .4" above barrel, covers less than 1" of barrel length, and adds only 1.5 oz. of weight. Compatible with M4-style carbines and M16A2/A3/A4-style rifles with any length, .936" O.D. barrel. Two steel setscrews keep the block securely anchored to the barrel to prevent shifting even under the force of full-auto recoil. QPQ Finish provides the best corrosion protection and gives a smooth black color that matches Nitride, Melonite and QPQ barrels.

Low Profile Gas Block
A gun reuses the gas from the bullet cartridge to cycle the bolt and load the next round. When the initial shot is fired, gas is generated and flows through the barrel's gas port, into the gas block, down the gas tube, and back up the gas tube to the bolt carrier group. The bolt carrier group is pushed back into the buffer and the buffer spring is compressed as gas is released from the tube. When gas pressure is no longer sufficient to keep the buffer spring compressed, the spring returns to its natural shape, expanding to push the buffer forward against the bolt carrier group, and restoring the battery. The gas block is a junction between the barrel and the gas tube, serving to secure the tube and direct the gas stream back toward the bolt carrier group. All of the gas from the barrel will escape via the same-sized hole in a standard gas block.
